How to Use These Ratios
To retrieve ratio values for a specific company, use the Company Ratios API endpoint
Understanding the Metrics
- Formula: The human-readable expression used to compute the ratio, stated in terms of standardized metrics
- Format: Indicates how the value is formatted (ratio, percentage, currency amount, etc.)
- Daily Data: Ratios with daily data availability can be retrieved with historical daily granularity
- Currency: Indicates if the metric is a monetary value
Shares Outstanding for ADR Companies
For companies with American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), shares outstanding data is available in multiple formats to support different use cases:

totalSharesOutstanding- Provides ADS-converted values for ADR companies. This is the recommended field for most analyses as it represents the shares in ADR/ADS terms that trade on US exchanges. -
ordinaryTotalSharesOutstanding- Provides the underlying ordinary share count before any ADR conversion is applied. Use this when you need the actual share count from the company's home market. -
conversionFactor- The conversion ratio between ordinary shares and ADS. You can apply this factor yourself if you prefer handling the conversion logic explicitly (e.g.,ordinaryTotalSharesOutstanding / conversionFactor = totalSharesOutstanding).
For non-ADR companies, totalSharesOutstanding and ordinaryTotalSharesOutstanding will have the same value.
